Our Projects

We’ve always got something on the go at Level Playground! Have look and see what we’re up to, and how you can get involved.

  • Our Gender Equality Resource Tubs are in high demand- these are boxes packed full of resources, activities and books to be used at kindergartens, preschools and early learning centres
  • Looking for a fun-filled activity session that teaches parents and carers how to break down gender stereotypes through their children’s play? Find out more about our Ways to Play sessions!
  • Level Playgroup is our latest project, bringing messages of equality and respect to weekly playgroups. We’re working with multicultural groups and creating how-to guides for playgroup facilitators – learn more by clicking below!

Our projects past and present are made possible with the support of small grants from local and community organisations.

Gender Equity Resource Tub

provides early childhood educators with age appropriate information, activities and resources to support them in day-to-day work of raising children free from gender stereotypes.

Ways to Play

is an active play-based workshop that engages children aged 0-6 and their parents and caregivers in fun ways to play that support healthy childhood development and inspire children to play free from restrictive and harmful gender stereotypes.

Author and publisher, Jayneen Sanders, in partnership with EDVOS and Anglicare Victoria, have developed Hope – a story book and resource that addresses family violence in a way that is appropriate for children.

Level Playgroup

is aimed at supporting existing and future playgroups to apply a gendered lens to their programming.

Training and Presentations

Level Playground delivers educational sessions and presentations on topics relating to gender equality, respectful relationships, body safety and breaking down rigid gender stereotypes and more.
